FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are forced reset triggers legal?

Rare Breed Triggers prevailed in federal litigation establishing that the FRT-15 functions as a semi-automatic trigger — it fires one round per function of the trigger. Legality can still vary by state and locality, and the law evolves. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm that an FRT is legal where they live before ordering. When in doubt, consult your state statutes or a qualified attorney.

Do I need an FFL to buy a trigger?

No. A trigger assembly is not a firearm under federal law, so no FFL transfer is required. Eligible orders ship directly to the buyer.

Which FRT fits my rifle?

The FRT-15 (C3/L3) is built for the AR-15 / mil-spec platform. The FRT-RD3 is engineered for the HK MP5 and clones. The FRT-MR3 is made specifically for the HK MR556 / MR762 (HK416/417 pattern). Match the model to your host platform — each product page lists exact compatibility.

Is installation difficult?

FRTs are drop-in units that replace your existing fire-control group. Most builders complete the swap in minutes with standard punches. Each model ships with the correct springs and pins; we also stock OEM replacement spring sets.

How fast does it ship?

In-stock orders are processed quickly and shipped with tracking. You will receive a confirmation and tracking number by email once your order leaves the warehouse.
